Getting started

Quick start

This guide will help you go from zero to your first agent session in about five minutes.

Prerequisites

  • A Solana wallet (Phantom or Solflare)
  • Some devnet SOL for testing (free from a faucet)
  • A modern web browser

Step 1: Connect your wallet

Click “Connect Wallet” in the top right corner. A popup will appear asking you to select your wallet. Choose Phantom or Solflare and approve the connection request.

Step 2: Sign in

After connecting, click “Sign In”. Your wallet will ask you to sign a message. This proves you own the wallet — no password needed.

Step 3: Get devnet SOL

Ghostdesk currently runs on Solana Devnet. Get free devnet SOL from the faucet:

  1. Go to faucet.solana.com
  2. Paste your wallet address
  3. Click “Request Airdrop”
  4. Wait for the transaction to confirm

Step 4: Top up your balance

In the app, click “Add Funds”. Enter an amount and click “Deposit”. Your wallet will prompt you to approve the transaction. Once confirmed, your balance updates.

Step 5: Launch a session

Click “Launch Desktop”. The agent will spin up a fresh Linux desktop environment. This takes a few seconds. You will see the desktop appear in the viewer pane.

Step 6: Give it a task

Type a message in the chat input. For example:

Open Chromium and search for Solana price

The agent will take a screenshot, open the browser, navigate to Google and perform the search. You will see everything happen in real time.
